I just got home about a half hour ago and learned of the safe landing made by US Airways Flight 1459 in the Hudson River between New York City. My understanding is that the flight took off LaGuardia Internat'l Airport and was heading to Charlotte, NC when both of the plane's engine failed. Kudos to the pilot for landing the plane safely in the river. Kudos to the flight crew and to all the emergency rescue people for getting all of the passengers off the plane.
