The President of the United States, Barack Obama announced at approximately 10:35 PM CDT that the leader of the terrorist network Al-Qaida, Osama Bin Laden is dead. He was killed during a special US military operation that took place in Pakistan based on intelligence gathered over the previous eight to nine months. The military operation was able to retrieve the body at the end of the operation. More to come in the coming days.
